We hiked the National Pass Hike as described here: One of the loveliest half-day walks in the country is the National Pass. After crossing the top of Wentworth Falls, the trail zigzags spectacularly down a series of staircases which have been hacked into the sheer cliff face, then crosses the base of the falls to circle the valley along a narrow ledge, with panoramic views all the way. At its far end, the trail returns to the top of the cliffs via the Valley of the Waters, a series of glistening waterfalls surrounded by an understorey of ferns. Back at the top, you can reward yourself with coffee and cakes at The Conservation Hut, and the parking lot at Wentworth Falls is only a 20-minute walk away across flat terrain.
It was a great hike!
