Kangaroo Island, South Australia

Last week, Ben went to Kangaroo Island, which is the Australia's third largest island, 8 miles off the South Australian coast. Saw some pretty incredible scenery (Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, wineries, ) and wildlife (albino kangaroos, koalas, wedge-tailed eagle, Tammar wallabies, Australian sea lions, New Zealand fur seals, poisonous tiger snake). The island was unusually green and lush due to the winter rains.

Admirals Arch with NZ fur seals on the rocks.

The highlight was probably when Ben was smacked in face by pelican at a feeding.

Now that's a highlight! Contact with the local wildlife. Any blood?

Sometimes I wish I could smack someone with a pelican. Hi Ann. Who knew you were such a photographer?
